I like the story, I realized Molag'Bal and the creation of vampires in the Elder Scrolls looks allot like this one.

The characters look great, I especially like the bloodied scar around Absimiliard eye.
I agree with MysticTrinket. The train feels off in this picture.

How did Zillah come back to life? Since Absimiliard is already hideously deformed, it must be after she got killed.

Galejro responds:

Yes, Zillah is practically dead and fries in hell according VTM lore. This is a cover picture for my cookbook where I "add" new story based on VTM lore. The lady on the left and the proper owner of the body is not Zillah, her name is Lacene Riderguerre, in my story Caine turns her into a vampire and possesses her with a ghost that he brainwashed to think, feel, and behave like Zillah according to the fullest of Caine's knowledge of her. Technically she is like Gollum, a split personality where one soul can claim control at a time. Caine did that out of sentiment for Zillah, he never got the chance to bury her, so when he found Lacene (who looks almost like Zillah) he decided to make both a powerful servant as well as a living tombstone. So yes, you are excused if you say she's just a cheap knock-off rather than a resurrected original.

I don't often give 5 full stars, but this sure deserves them. Extremely realistic, I love that you can still see it has been drawn. Not just an exact photo like illustration (that kinda kills the point of painting it in my opinion). Well done

renevatia responds:

Yeah, having exact copies defeats the purpose

Another great illustration. It's easy to come up with some stories with this drawing.

I like how you did the sunlight reflecting trough the water on the objects underwater.

gavinvalentine responds:

Thanks EmeraldPhoenix. =)

A beautiful fantasy world, I love it

BushidoArts responds:

Thank you so much! :)

Great comic style! I love the gold and blue armor. It took me a moment to figure out his front and back. It's pretty twisted

JBoston responds:

Yeah. Its a bit confusing. But I've colored this guy's lineart quite a few times. I think I've just gotten used to it.

Doctor: ''What colour mushroom did you eat''?
me: ''About every colour''

I like this one, especially with the little challenge you put in there, challenge accepted!
I found the Mushroom, Illuminati symbol and some flower looking star, the acronym I guess is the letter M? I couldn't find anything else, so I guess that should be it.

If that's not it, please tell me what I should have been =)

coltybah responds:

Good job! Thank you for taking the time to find them, the flower is a pot leaf ;D and the acronym is DMT an extremely psychedelic drug. If there's anything you want me to draw for you PM me or whatever :)

It looks good, though I believe you forgot the reflection of the water on the ocean.
The further something is from the viewer the more blurred and lighter the colours become, you do this very well, but you seem to have forgotten the horizon, it is a very sharp change from water to sky.

I like the rays of sunlight breaking trough the leaves of the trees and the clouds look really good.

Where is the light coming from though, it is confusing me a little. The rocks and some trees indicate the sun comes from the top right. But 1 tree has light coming in from the top left.

(sorry to nag about these details, I feel like a jerk. Though I hope it helps you a little in future works)

Extellus responds:

I'm not exactly striving to make it as realistic as possible although I do see your point. =) I guess I'm just looking for the best way to convey a certain feel of the atmosphere and I think that such hard realism might hinder that. =/

That soul has become part of the worst instrument to be tortured by. Nicely done!

I couldn't reply to your question before, ( you can't reply to a reply apparently )
Anyway, I have seen some work of Arthur Rackham before, but never remembered the name. The other artists are also really good, thank you for pointing them out, I will check some more work of them.

Looking forward to more illustrations

gavinvalentine responds:

Glad to hear it EmeraldPhoenix! Thanks for checking out my work and commenting. =)

Great armor, I don't know the show though. I didn't see an armor type like this after searching google. Did you designed it yourself?

I like the pose and colouring

Scavenger25 responds:

No i took desing reverences from the original char nefertini. you can google it by searching mummies alive ,nefertini. i changed the armor a bit more detailed and fit it to the year 2015. thanks for u like anyway XD
